Hello writers,

I happened upon this site quite by accident. It seems to be very quiet these days, but I will introduce myself to the silence, if I must.
I am Bridget, and I enjoy writing poetry. It is sometimes a release for me, and sometimes not. I do not post a lot of what I write,
just a piece now and again. Came here from another poetry site (not yuku) called allpoetry, but didn't post much there, and not at
all in recent years. They changed formats...

I wanted to think of something more interesting than "Hi", but everything I could think of sounded a little too contrived or stilted so... I put in the old reliable {placeholder} instead. Do you find yourself doing that as you write? Or do you stop and use a search engine or a thesaurus until you find just the write word or phrase before you move on?

Guess it's time I got the lead out of the rear cargo area and posted.
Bad time of year to try to keep flying! Wings are bent and takin' a beating from all the swooping around that summer creates. We're renovating an old church to live in & my time here, or anywhere else for that matter, is severely limited. Also had a kitty who lost both her eyes recently & have to stick close to her for the time being.
Have fallen far behind in all things, incl. me own haunts!!...

I'm Daisy, and I mostly write poetry, and song lyrics. I have been known to write some short stories also. I had started a novel once upon a time and my oldest son spilled Koolaid into the CPU of the computer I was using, and I stupidly did not have the files backed up, so it's all gone. This was years ago when PC's were new, and I knew nothing. Live and learn...

Hi, I'm Tag and I've been writing seriously for a few years. I write mostly flash fiction and short stories, no particular genre, though I do tend toward darker fiction. I've had a couple of pieces published in online ezines (Melic Review and Brilliant!) and have had one flash piece published at Every Day Fiction.

One of my styles of writing is the most dangerous one. I do a lot of writing in my mind. Once, I even got hit by a car while writing. I barely survived the severe bruises.

Actually, I started writing at an early age, in the womb. Since I was so warm and comfortable, it was hard to get started. I just lay about for about six months. The environment was pleasant except for all the noise. Constant gurgling and weird noises beset my tender young ears.

This included a lot of sounds from outside my immediate surroundings. These noises, unlike the more localized sounds, i.e. gurgles, seemed to have a pattern. Careful study revealed some real or perceived...
